(On Amends)
At this point, we need to take action because we see that "faith without works is dead." Let’s now look at the Eighth and Ninth Steps. We have the list of those we have harmed and to whom we are willing to make amends. This list was compiled when we conducted our inventory. We subjected ourselves to rigorous self-criticism. Now we will reach out to our fellow beings and make amends for the harm we have caused in the past. We will attempt to clear away the ruins of power-seeking and stubbornness. If our resolve is not strong enough, we pray for strength. Let us remember that at the beginning, we agreed to do everything possible to overcome alcohol.
